"We were intimated on Friday. Our school management contacted me and directed me to take the students to Saturday's IPL match," she said.<br /><br />For Juanita Solomon, a class 9 student, the occasion was a memorable one. "I am a hardcore fan of Daniel Vettori. But to my sadness, after coming here I learnt that he flew back to his country following injury. However I will enjoy the match," she said, adding, "I am a cricket player and was selected to under 16 state team, but could not play the matches."<br /><br />Speaking to the media, commissioner Jyothi Prakash Mirji said, "Everybody thinks it is a luxury to watch a cricket match in the stadium. Our department decided to take these underprivileged children to the stadium to witness the IPL match."
